Why go off the mountain and find rocks that were placed there for you from other countries when you can stay local and find gemstones and fossils that formed locally while learning about the unique geological history that created the Appalachian Mountain Range? We offer complete geological programs for students of all ages and grade levels. We will customize lectures designed for each classroom to fit specific science-related curriculum programs. Field trips are only $10.00 +Tax per student which includes gem mining and a custom lecture that ties it all together, Other packages available including Paleo Putt-Putt and Nerf Battle Zone. Did you know that Doc was an Eagle Scout, that we have another Eagle Scout working with us, or that we offer classes to earn Merit Badges? The gem mine has worked with many Scout groups over the years and has even done a full-day class covering multiple Merit Badges.
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts all enjoy the classes, making memories, and moving forward in their adventure.
